Children's program at the church plant

Kata using interactive teaching with the children
On Dec. 21st our good friend Kata provided a wonderful program for children at the church plant; it was also great for people of all ages who were there.  Kata is a missionary with the Hungarian branch of Evangelism Explosion for Kids, and she used interactive teaching, drama, and a handcraft to make a clear presentation of Gospel truth.

Praise the Lord for the Good News that was clearly shared!  Pray that the seeds that were sown will bear fruit in changed lives, to the glory of God.  Lift up the work of Kata and her co-workers with EE- Magyarország as they train workers and reach out to children and families.

Special Christmas event tomorrow

Gingerbread boys and girls will be a part of the celebration
Tomorrow morning we'll be partnering with Kata, a friend from the Hungarian Evangelism Explosion for Kids, and other national friends, to present a special program for children and families at the church plant.

Pray that those will come whose hearts the Lord has prepared to hear this message; ask that the Good News will be clear and well received as we enjoy the drama, the interactive Gospel presentation, the special craft, and the time spent together.

Praise the Lord for this opportunity to share the true meaning of Christmas!

Debrecen prepares for Christmas

The Debrecen city center, aglow with preparations for Christmas
Last week Gary and I took a few minutes to walk in the city center and enjoy the lights and Christmas atmosphere.  It was only a little cool out, so there were a lot of shoppers in the stores and at the booths that line the tram tracks in front of the Great Church.

Pray that as people prepare for Christmas, their minds will also turn to the One whose birthday we celebrate this time of year; pray that they will understand and accept the incomparable gift of the Saviour.
