Prayer calender for May month of prayer

Join us in the 11th annual month of prayer for eastern Hungary! As a foundational part of our goal of sharing the Gospel with 5000 people this year, we will be praying over a selection of key cities across this region, along with some major groupings of Hungarians living beyond the borders.  The prayer calendar is available for download in both PDF and MS Word format at http://www.hope4ehu.com/prayer.html -- please pass it on to anyone who would like to take part.

Throughout the month we'll also be adding some special virtual prayer walks and pictures to go with the prayer topics on the calendar, so check back with us!  We apologize for not having these resources available earlier--our lives and work have been greatly affected by our medical situation and recent move to a different house.  We appreciate your continued prayers for Gary as he continues to recuperate from his recent back surgery.  Pray for relief of pain, proper healing, and for opportunities for us to share our faith with medical staff and others as we go through this time.

Thank you and God bless!

Gary's surgery went well

Thank you to everyone who prayed for Gary during his back surgery last week.  The doctor said it went very well, and in spite of quite a bit of pain he has been recovering nicely.  Praise the Lord for the healing that He is giving, as well as for all the encouragement and help that have come from so many friends and co-workers.

It has also been very good to hear reports from our teammates and other ministry partners of how the Lord has been continuing to work during this time.  We are once again reminded that the work is His, not ours!

Please continue to pray for Gary's recovery, and that God will get the glory through this situation as well as all the ministry taking place in eastern Hungary.

Gary's surgery moved to tomorrow

Hello from the hospital in Budapest.  The doctor stopped by a little while ago and let us know that Gary's back surgery will be tomorrow morning instead of Wednesday.  It will begin at either 8 or 10 (1 a.m. or 3 a.m. CST), and will last several hours.  Please be in prayer that the Lord will guide the hands of the doctors and everyone who is working with him, and that everything well go very well. Pray for a good recovery and that the Lord will be glorified through this.  Thank you!
